Pokémon GO will no longer have to leave the safety of its homes to obtain Gucci x The North Face in-game avatar items.

After all parties announced a limited-time crossover between Gucci and The north face with Pokémon GO, a promo code has been released that will allow players to collect event cosmetic items without leaving the safety of their homes. This measure was implemented by Pokémon GO and the two fashion brands in light of the current global pandemic to help keep players safe.

Gucci and The North Face teased the collaboration with Pokémon GO in December and revealed the bigger details earlier this year. Players can visit 100 selected cities across the United States and spin specific Pokéstops to exchange three different cosmetic items for their in-game avatars. Of course, it would require players to leave their homes to travel to those eligible Pokéstops in order to to claim a digital hat, backpack or t-shirt. Only a few days after the start of the promotion, the employees made the decision to make the content of the event accessible to everyone.

Although this has not been publicly announced by Gucci, Northface or Pokémon GO, Serebii.net reported that a special promo code will allow players to collect two of each of the digital rewards for free without leaving their homes. The universal code that players can use is GXSD5CJ556NHG. It can be used via the code entry feature on Android versions of the game, or players can visit this Niantic Labs page and login to their Pokémon GO Account. Being a universal code, players can use the same promo code to redeem the items on multiple accounts.

The Gucci x The North Face collaboration with Pokémon GO is similar to the Paris Fashion Week crossover, except players won’t be able to find any trendy Pokémon in the wild. The Paris Fashion Week event, meanwhile, brought in several fancy-dressed Pokémon. Pokémon GO, who could also appear shiny and smartly dressed if the players were lucky. The event also included special cosmetics for coaches, but they were given to players for free from the start of the event without any promo codes. Many players, however, had to leave their homes to find the costumed Pokémon.

These fashion crosses with Pokémon GO are a bit unconventional, but having earned $ 1 billion in 2020, it makes sense that brands would want to collaborate with Pokémon GO. Brands like Gucci and Pokemon are an unlikely pair, but now players can get “drip” in and out of the game. However, players will need a lot more than a promo code to afford real life Gucci X The north face the merchandise on which these promotional items are based.
