Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got married this weekend. The couple exchanged vows at the Shelton ranch in Oklahoma, according to Gayle King, co-host of “CBS This Morning.”

Stefani shared photos from the ceremony on Instagram on Monday. “The dreams of July 3, 2021 are coming true !!!” the singer wrote.

The couple, who got engaged in 2020 but had to postpone their marriage several times due to the pandemic, an Oklahoma marriage license applied for last week.

The couple met in 2015, when they were each newly divorced and coaches of “The Voice”. Shelton told King in 2020 that while they appear to be opposites, “these are just small details.”

“And what matters to me is just the human being that she’s inside and Gwen has a way of looking at life in a way I’ve never experienced in anyone – her point of view. She always says she doesn’t understand what I mean, but she has a way of looking at a person’s situation from all angles and she’s the most understanding and kind person I have. never met, ”Shelton said. “I learn something from her every day.”

Stefani said CBS “Dimanche Matin” in 2016 that she bonded with Shelton while they were both going through a divorce. Stefani split from her husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, with whom she shares three children, that year, while Shelton and country singer Miranda Lambert divorced a year earlier.

“In all this madness that has happened, like an unexpected horror, I found a friend who was going through the exact same thing as me,” Stefani told Lee Cowan. “And it’s a miracle, you know? And it saved me so much, and I’m so grateful for it.”

Stefani and Shelton were sitting two chairs apart on “The Voice”. She said that in the recording studio, her collaborators noticed a change in mood – and the rest is history. She wrote the song “Make Me Like You” in 2016 about their budding relationship.

Since then, Stefani and Shelton have recorded and performed songs together, including Shelton’s Grammy-nominated “Nobody But You”.
