HAIM shared a new holiday song called “Christmas Wrapping 2020 (all I want for Christmas is a vaccine)”. The lyrics were written by Slave game writer Jeremy O. Harris. On the track, the Haim sisters recap 2020, referring to “WAP,” the pandemic, Zendaya’s Emmy, election, TikTok, and more. It comes with a fun video with graphics by Pedro TQM. Take a look below.
“Christmas Wrapping 2020” is produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and has basses by Thundercat, horns by Henry Solomon and touches of Buddy Ross, collaborator of Frank Ocean.
Last year, HAIM covered “If It Be Your Will” by Leonard Cohen for the Hanukkah + compilation. In 2018, the trio sold “Haimukkah” shirts to benefit the Pittsburgh Tree of Life. And, in 2017, HAIM created their own Hanukkah song.
HAIM’s latest album Women in Music Pt. III is shortlisted for Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammys.
