Microsoft has finally confirmed on tonight's Inside Xbox show that Halo: The Master Chief Collection was coming to PC, and that it would include Halo: Reach, the 2010 Halo series: Combat Evolved.
The PC version of Halo: MCC will be implemented in stages, each game being released individually, in a chronological order, rather than in a single package. This means that Halo: Reach will be the first, followed by Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (Campaign) and Halo 4. 343 Industries has stated that a phased schedule would allow it to be s & # 39; ensure that each game is "right"They include features like FOV sliders, extensive monitor support and remappable keys, and beyond their initial launch, the games will" evolve and grow over time with community contributions. " , said Microsoft.
"We are embarking on an adventure with our community to build a PC experience that meets the expectations of PC gamers," said Community Manager Brian Jarrard. "The team is passionately committed to ensuring that all the features, ringtones and whistles expected in a modern PC title are included in MCC."
Prices and release dates have not been announced, but it's good (and a bit surprising) that The Master Chief Collection is on Steam as well as on the Microsoft Store. (In fact, it's already listed here.) Halo is a complete Microsoft series, but not having to deal with the mess of a digital showcase makes the announcement more exciting. More information will be revealed this weekend at SXSW and in view of the launch of Halo Waypoint.
