Highly anticipated: It's been more than four years since Halo: The Master Chief Collection arrived on Xbox. Surely enough time for Microsoft and 343 Industries to transfer the compilation to PC without the hiccups that stained the launch of the console, right?

Microsoft will hold its next Inside Xbox show on March 12th. The second episode of season 2, recently announced on YouTube, will feature "exciting news" about Halo: The Master Chief, among other announcements.

According to rumors, Microsoft could announce that the Master Chief collection finally arrives on PC. It has been known for some time that Microsoft is trying to transfer the compilation to the PC, but, according to Brad Sams's insider, the project has already been delayed several times.

The launch of the compilation on Xbox One was "disastrous" and, as Sams notes, Microsoft wants to make sure that they will solve all the problems this time around.

Halo: The Master Chief collection was launched on the Microsoft console on November 11, 2014 and consists of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4.

The latest update of The Master Chief Collection on Xbox changes the game's main menu screen and discusses some of the changes required for competitive games and social games. The changelog in its entirety can be found on the Halo forums.
