Halsey is the latest musician to let the world know what she thinks about this year’s Grammy nominations. She joins The Weeknd’s supporting choir who, after being banned from names, took to Twitter to call the Grammys “corrupt.” He has garnered the support of fellow musicians like Drake, Elton John, Charlie Puth and others.
Halsey, who was also left out of nodding at this year’s Grammy Awards, shared her feelings via Instagram stories.
“I thought about it and wanted to choose my words carefully because a lot of people have shown me sympathy and apologies since the Grammy nominations,” she wrote. “The Grammys are an elusive process. It can often be private behind-the-scenes performances, getting to know the right people, campaigning in the vineyard, with the right handshakes and ‘bribes’ that can be just ambiguous enough to pass for. “Not bribes”. And if you get that far, it’s all about engaging in exclusive TV performances and making sure you help the Academy earn millions in publicity on the night of the show… Maybe sometimes it is ( !!!) but it’s not always a question of music or quality or culture.

She continued, “I just wanted to get that off my chest. @theweeknd deserves better, and Manic did too, maybe it’s unworthy of me to say it but I don’t care. While I look forward to my talented friends who have been recognized this year, I hope for more transparency or reform. But I’m sure this post will blacklist me anyway.

The Weeknd has won numerous Grammys and recently won several American Music Awards. He was destined to be a Grammy favorite, but alas, he didn’t receive any nominations. His assaults continued when he accused the Grammys board of allegedly failing to invite him to the 2021 awards show.
“Collaboratively planning a show for weeks without being invited? In my opinion, no appointment = you are not invited! ”The singer wrote in an Instagram post.
