Perhaps high school football’s best comeback on YouTube has had competition. Despite dropping 17 points in the final 70 seconds, Hamilton High School, Arizona, claimed a life-changing victory over Nevada powerhouse Bishop Gorman on Friday night.

The contest video starts with 1:10 on the left. Hamilton trailed Bishop Gorman 24-7, but managed a field goal to take the score to 24-10 to extend the lead to 14 points.

Then things got silly.

Hamilton recovers an offensive kick. With 41 seconds left, the team ran the ball for a score of around 20 yards.

Now in a one-point game, Hamilton recovered another side kick. With 14 seconds left, Hamilton threw a touchdown pass. An extra point would tie things 8 seconds from the end.

Hamilton wasn’t looking for a tie, however. Instead of the extra point, Hamilton decided to make two. With receivers covered, Hamilton quarterback Nicco Marchiol rushed in and dove into the end zone for the go-ahead score.

Bishop Gorman had one last chance to try for a win, but failed to make it happen. Despite a 17-point lead with 70 seconds remaining, Hamilton managed to create a surprise.

Bishop Gorman was ranked # 7 at the entrance to the competition. Hamilton was in 24th place before the game.

That is likely to change following Friday’s wild victory by Hamilton.
