Hands-on practice with the new OnePlus 7 Pro contextual and frameless screen

OnePlus unveiled today its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro, which offers an impressive set of features at an unbeatable price on the flagship devices of other smartphone manufacturers, including Apple.

We were able to familiarize ourselves with the OnePlus 7 Pro at the OnePlus event this morning, so we thought we'd give MacRumeurs Readers will take a look at the screen without bezel and the contextual camera, both of which are excellent features for smartphones.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is all display, with a 6.67-inch OLED display that occupies the entire front of the device. There is no cutting or notching of the camera on the screen because OnePlus uses a nice little front-facing camera that comes out of the back of the phone when you want to use it.

This feature is unique on the OnePlus device and allows a display without borders from top to bottom, edge to edge, without sacrificing the selfie camera. The small camera ejected seems pretty resistant, but it will see how it is maintained over time.

OnePlus has posted a video showing the opening and closing of the camera over 300,000 times (12 hours of time!) And another video showing that she is raising a rock and therefore seems to be able to withstand abuse.

Although it has a 6.67 inch screen, the OnePlus 7 Pro has a size similar to that of the iPhone XS Max, simply because it does not have the same size. there is no cache to process. The display is curved on the edges of the device, which some may not like, but it is undeniably good.

OnePlus calls the screen a "Fluid AMOLED" screen because it has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a concept similar to the refresh rate of 120 Hz iPad Pro models. This refresh rate is more visible on a smaller device and scrolling through the operating system is extremely fluid.

Besides the exceptional display and the unique pop-up front camera, the OnePlus 7 Pro has pretty decent features. A triple lens camera with telephoto, wide angle lens and ultra wide angle lens, a sub-screen fingerprint sensor, a Snapdragon 855 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a 4000 mAh battery and a charging function.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 Pro does not offer wireless charging, unlike many other smart phones on the market, nor an index of protection against penetration for water resistance. And of course, there is another major drawback for Apple fans: it runs on Android.

OnePlus is charging more for this year's flagship OnePlus smartphone, and the 7 Pro is priced from $ 669. It's still a little cheaper than the iPhone XS and flagship smartphones from other companies such as Samsung, even though it uses fairly upscale hardware.
