Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh defended his decision to try four conversions in the fourth and three two-point conversations in his loss Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Ravens were 3-for-4 on fourth-try attempts and 2-on-3 on two-point conversions. Harbaugh said on Monday that his plan was to be aggressive against the Chiefs.

"I have a good understanding of the numbers," he said. "It's very detailed and well thought out. I think I was pretty clear about that last night, but we stick to our decisions. Our decisions gave us the best chance of winning the match in this particular game. "
He added, "These are not league choices. These are determined by this game and for this particular game, in this place, the weather is even taken into account. Many factors are calculated mathematically. And that's why we did it. It was not a positional game on the field. It was a possession game. Making the most of each possession was what mattered and that's what we were trying to do, and we mostly did a very good job. "

Harbaugh defended two points when the team lost 11 points in the fourth quarter. The Ravens have not managed to convert the test into two points. Harbaugh said that reducing the lead to nine points could have contributed to their chance of winning the match.
"Getting 9 gives you a much better chance of winning," he said. "You still have a chance to do it with the other two. And if, for whatever reason, they score a goal or touchdown, it also increases your chances. So, even though you may think that you must be 10, it's the right thing to do if you want to work overtime. This is not the thing to do if you want to win the match in regulation, and that's what we were trying to do. "
The Ravens 'aggression during the match was aimed at countering the Chiefs' quick score.
