After its release in New Zealand, the latest Harry Potter Wizards Unite game from Pokemon Go developer Niantic is now available in Australia and New Zealand for everyone. It is only a beta version at this point. So you should expect some bugs and missing features, but it gives a very good idea of what to expect from what could become the next big mobile game.
GameSpot has explored downtown Sydney, Australia, today with Wizards Unite. We joined a house (Gryffindor, of course), built a wand and fought monsters in the augmented reality game. You can watch about 15 minutes of new game sequences in the embedded video above.
We do not know yet when Wizards Unite will be released in the United States or in other parts of the world. It is typical that the big mobile games have their "progressive" launch in Australia and New Zealand as a test before being broadcast all over the world.

Harry Potter: Unite Wizards was originally scheduled to be launched in 2018 before being delayed this year. You can read more about the title in our practical impressions and Android users can pre-register on Google Play. There is no word yet about when the final game will be available around the world.
