Harry Styles admitted he was worried he would not have fans after leaving One Direction

One Direction will always have a strong fan base, although it looks like the boy group is now completely divided. While Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are still friendly, many of them pursue musical careers on their own. And Styles is getting a ton of attention for his hit album, Fine Line.

Styles discussed his album on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And he admitted he was concerned his fans would abandon him completely after One Direction split.

Styles are getting more attention than ever. Not only does his hit music resonate with fans young and old, he also breaks gender norms by posing in dress during photo shoots. And its growing popularity certainly gives it a place on The Ellen DeGeneres Show whenever he would like to visit.

In 2019, DeGeneres told Styles that she was a huge fan of him when he visited the show. “I’m telling you guys, if you haven’t heard it yet, it’s so good,” DeGeneres said of his album. “It’s amazing. I’m so happy for you.”

Styles then explained that he went to Japan on his own for a month, which helped him write his album. And DeGeneres went on to refer to the photos included in Styles’ album – and one of them showed him totally naked. According to the singer, he started the photoshoot fully dressed, but the photographer eventually reduced his clothes until there was nothing left for the perfect shot.

Towards the end of the interview with DeGeneres, she mentioned how successful Styles has been since leaving One Direction.

“It has been an incredible success,” DeGeneres noted. “And most importantly, like I said, it’s going to be # 1 this week. Aren’t you fair – aren’t you so proud of yourself? Are you not so happy?

“I’m very happy,” Styles checked. But he then noted that he wasn’t so sure if he would find the success he has now. “I think coming out of that I kind of tried to remember before I had expectations that you can’t… just not assume.” Like, I don’t know if people are going to come because it’s not the band anymore, stuff like that.

Now Styles knows he can do it on his own – and that makes him “really happy”.

“It makes me feel, obviously, very good that people seem to enjoy music,” Styles added.

Styles said there was ‘tension’ when visiting ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ with One Direction

It’s clear that Styles is finding his way without One Direction. And we can’t forget the moment he noticed the “tension” in the room upon his arrival. The Ellen DeGeneres Show years ago with the band.

When Styles arrived with his bandmates, there were only four on the show instead of five. And that’s because Malik left the group at this point. And DeGeneres talked about it.

“Now did you know Zayn’s departure would be the story he has become, such a huge story?” DeGeneres asked. “I mean, it’s a big story. Did you know this for a while? Did he talk about it for a while, that he was leaving?

“I think we sort of – had a feeling, you know,” Tomlinson noted after an awkward silence. “I do not really know.”

After that, Styles laughed. And when DeGeneres asked why he was laughing, he replied, “Because… you could cut the tension here.”

It seems like all of the One Direction stars are happier on their own. And we’re excited to see what Styles does next.
