Hasbro has just released a new version of his classic Monopoly game that places women at the center of action – and pays them more than male players.
"Mrs. Monopoly," as it's called the new game, is meant to celebrate women pioneers and "while Mr. Monopoly is a real estate mogul, Mrs. Monopoly (who is apparently the niece of M Monopoly) is a lawyer whose mission is to invest in women entrepreneurs, "according to Hasbro's press release.
In addition to rolling out this new game, Hasbro has rewarded young women inventors and entrepreneurs with $ 20,580 in real money "to fuel their inventive spirit and advance their projects."
Several changes have been made to the iconic board game of the new version. Some properties of the game have been replaced by revolutionary inventions of women and instead of building houses, players build their headquarters. Changes have also been made to the payment structure in the game.
