According to their respective Twitter accounts, the brothers will be transferred.
Marquette Basketball was part of the teams projected in the top 10 for next season.
This decision comes just days after Markus Howard announced that he would be back for his senior season.
The Marquette University sent a statement thanking the brothers for their outstanding contributions to the team.
"We are grateful for all that Sam and Joey have contributed to our program and our university during their stay in Marquette and we wish them the best of luck for the future," said coach Steve Wojciechowski. .
