THE DONUT SHOP – For those who love treats, nothing resembles the smell and taste of fresh donuts.
If you own a donut shop, you certainly want all locals to buy from your bakery. But most of us know that small businesses usually have trouble attracting attention and selling their first few months – if at all.
This was happening at Billy's Donuts, a newly opened donut shop near Houston, Texas. The bakery was struggling to get sales and the owner was naturally sad. His son, Billy By, noticed this and decided to do something to help his father. By, an independent photographer, took some pictures of the empty shop and his father and posted them on social media to ask the masses for help.
"My father is sad because no one is coming to his new donut shop," said By on Twitter Saturday afternoon.

He then tweeted the address and opening hours of the store. It was a long wait, but for By, he could not do much else.
And you know what, the long-range worked! Social media took over and the community essentially told By and his father: "I've had, fam!" Shortly after By's tweets came out, people started asking questions about the donuts and made a commitment to buy them at the store. YouTuber Casey Neistat saw the tweet and helped to get things done on social networks.
As of Monday afternoon, By's tweet has generated more than 675,000 likes and 302,000 retweets.

Before they knew it, By and his father had customers at the door, all waiting to buy donuts, refreshments and other treats.

Even the Instagram account of Billy's Donuts had a big crisis! He originally had only 71 followers on Saturday. This number rose to 18,000 exceptional followers one day later.
As of Monday afternoon, Billy's Donuts had more than 69,000 followers on Instagram.
On Sunday noon, Billy's Donuts was completely sold in donuts and kolaches. In just 24 hours, By's tweet became viral and gave the greatest impulse imaginable to his father's shop. On Monday, a few Twitter representatives stopped to say hello.
How can fortunes turn into a day thanks to the good hearts of people who want to make a difference?
