The first casualty of the Battle of Winterfell was apparently the loyalty of an overwhelmed HBO Go.
Game of thrones Fans – especially those from Latin America and Brazil – bombarded the streaming service Sunday night by not looking at dragons, dead armies and terrible wolves, but error screens and "Loading …" or a stream that froze intermittently if attacked by a white walker.
"Please send us additional information about the difficulty you are experiencing, if there are any error messages, about the device on which it is experienced and the troubleshooting steps you are trying to get help with," @HBOGoHelp replied many US users' complaints via Twitter, while asking some to send screenshots. Out-of-state persons were invited to contact the appropriate HBO Go Regional Support Manager.
HBO Go did not specify the cause of the problems, but it is permissible to assume that the service was overwhelmed by fans of the epic saga listening to the bloody episode of the Battle of Winterfell ( TVLine details the number of deaths here).
Game of thrones opened its last season earlier this month with a record number of viewers, particularly regarding the number of viewers who do not watch linear cable streaming but who use HBO Go.
