George RR Martin, author of A song of ice and fire series of books that turned into an HBO hit Game Of Thrones, has signed a huge new deal with HBO to create content for the network and HBO Max, according to Hollywood journalist. It’s a five-year deal worth ‘eight middle digits’, sources say THR.

Even if Game Of Thrones completed in 2019, HBO owner WarnerMedia has already announced a prequel series, Dragon house, based on Martin’s book 2019 Fire and blood. And there are five projects in development based on the Game Of Thrones universe, THR reports. Martin is also developing series for HBO based on the novels. Who is afraid of death and Road signs.

My biggest fear, however, is that this huge new case will prevent Martin from working on the sixth book of the A song of ice and fire series of books, The Winds of Winter. The author said in February that he had written “hundreds and hundreds of pages” of The Winds of Winter in 2020, which was the “best year” for his book. Fingers crossed, he keeps that momentum going. The previous title of the seven-book series, A dance with dragons, was published in July 2011.
