In addition to Velma, HBO Max has commissioned two seasons of Clone High, a reinvention of the 2002 Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Bill Lawrence series set in a high school for clones of historical figures. In addition to writing the series, Lord and Miller will join Lawrence to serve as executive producers on the rebirth of MTV, with Erica Rivinoja assigned as showrunner.The streaming company further filled its adult animation list with Nate Sherman and Nick Vokey’s Fired on Mars, an existential workplace comedy set on the Martian campus of a modern tech company; SNL’s Pete Davidson will lend his voice to one of the characters. HBO Max has also renewed JG Quintel’s adult animated comedy Close Enough for two more seasons.

These new projects join an already packed roster of upcoming adult animated shows, featuring characters like Harley Quinn, The Prince, Santa Inc., 10 Year Old Tom, and The Boondocks previously announced by the network, as well as a brand new List of HBO Max adult animated originals, including Hello Paul, Obi, Uncanny Valley, and Cover, all of which are currently in development.
