HBO Max is no longer available on Amazon Prime video channels

HBO Max is no longer available through Amazon Prime Channels. The channel’s landing page now reads, “This page is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask you to try again later.”

Fire TV users still have access to HBO Max – the standalone app is available on Fire TV devices and users can sign in with their Prime Video credentials or can create a new subscription directly through the HBO Max app .

HBO also removed its channel from Apple TV channels two weeks ago, advising customers that they should switch to HBO Max to continue watching HBO content.

Removing HBO Max from Amazon Prime video channels was still part of the plan, as we discovered when the deal to bring the HBO Max app to Fire TV devices was struck last year.

HBO arrived on Fire TV devices in November 2020, with the HBO app automatically updating to HBO Max.
