HBO Max removed from Amazon Prime channels, half-price offer offered to lost customers

HBO Max is no longer available as an Amazon Prime Channel, and WarnerMedia is giving customers who have lost access a half-price deal as a result. Deadline reports that WarnerMedia is offering the deal after the service was removed from Amazon Prime Video’s channel lineup.

WarnerMedia made the decision two years ago to part ways with Amazon Channels, a move that has now come to fruition. HBO Max will be available for $ 7.49 for a period of up to six months for anyone who has accessed HBO through the Channels platform, and is available to new and old subscribers.

HBO Max will still be distributed on Amazon Fire TV; the decision to remove the service from Channels was due to the fact that Amazon was able to control the streaming data regarding the service. About five million HBO Max subscriptions were made through Amazon Channels out of 47 million in the United States and 67.5 million worldwide.
