A new HBO Max trailer has revealed the impressive lineup of Warner Bros. movies coming to theaters and streaming in 2021. Among them we have a new look at The Suicide Squad and a first chance to see Mortal Kombat ahead of its arrived later this year. .
The Suicide Squad, released in August, has several seconds of new footage. In one, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn is shown fleeing from a collapsing building. In another, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport comes face-to-face with John Cena’s Peacemaker – who also has his own HBO Max spin-off in the works.
Then, in the Breathless trailer, the first look at Mortal Kombat. No sign of death yet, but there is a chance to applaud what appears to be Sub-Zero in action. It happens on April 16.
But it’s not even half. In fact, there so a lot out there, it’s easy to forget some of what just fell on our knees. Among them, Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark was first presented, with James Gandolfini’s son taking his late father’s role as an iconic gangster.
Elsewhere, stars have come out – an extended Space Jam 2 shot (with LeBron James and a certain Bugs Bunny) spills the juice of nostalgia. Will Smith is seen playing the father of Venus and Serena Williams in King Richard, and Hugh Jackman’s dark sci-fi flick is also there.
Oddly enough, there’s even such a brief Matrix 4 tease … except it’s not called Matrix 4. Expect a brand new title to be announced shortly if that’s the case. The mega-list of movies is completed by Dune, The Little Things, Judas & the Dark Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs Kong (which just released its first trailer), Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made me Do it, in the heights, James Wan’s Cry Macho and Malignant.
