EXCLUSIVE: House Targaryen has been affected by the pandemic.
HBO ceased production on Game of thrones prequel Dragon house due to Covid-19. We learn that UK filming has been suspended for two days after a positive case in Zone A, which includes the cast and crew.
The deadline includes that a member of production testing positive and in accordance with industry guidelines, will self-isolate and close contacts must be quarantined. Production will resume on Wednesday.
Dragon house is the latest high-profile production in the UK to have to take a hiatus due to the pandemic. The deadline revealed that by Bridgeton the second season was closed for the second time in a week due to a positive Covid case and Netflix also shut down its feature adaptation of Mathilde because of the virus.

As the UK government continues to move forward with the country reopening on Monday, the virus is on the rise in the UK; nearly 52,000 people tested positive for the coronavirus in England on Friday as there were 49 deaths and Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak were forced to self-isolate following contact with Secretary of Health Sajid Javid, who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Dragon house stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Fabien Frankel. Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno are also present.
Based on Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series, which takes place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen, Cooke plays Alicent Hightower, D’Arcy plays Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Smith plays Prince Daemon Targaryen and Toussaint plays Lord Corlys Velaryon, known as the sea serpent, who becomes the hand of the queen. Dragon house was co-created by Martin and Condal. The pilot script that won the series commission was written by Condal. He is co-showrunner alongside veteran GoT Miguel Sapochnik, who will direct the pilot and additional episodes. Martin, Condal and Sapochnik produce alongside writer Sara Lee Hess, Vince Gerardis and Ron Schmidt. Greg Yaitanes co-executive produces. Yaitanes, Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel complete the production team for the 10-episode series.
