Titanium Backup is a name most of you have probably not heard about for a while, but there is still a small fan base that uses it. To the surprise of many fans, the app has apparently been removed from the Play Store earlier in the day. In the end, Google suspended Titanium Backup from the Play Store for permissions issues.
Hello everyone, we need your help!#Renfort in titanium has just been suspended from Play Store. We removed the permissions to comply with Google's call log and SMS strategy, but the authorization form did not go away and we tried it several times, and BAM!
Do you know someone at Google? * Please * help restore tuberculosis!– Titanium backup (@TitaniumBackup) February 25, 2019
The app's developers explained that they had removed some permissions to comply with the Play Store's SMS / Call Log strategy, although things obviously did not go as planned. In the meantime, if you need to download Titanium Backup now, you can download the latest APK file (downloaded today) from APK Mirror.
There have been interesting developments regarding Titanium Backup since yesterday. The official Twitter account of Google Play Apps & Games responded to Titanium Backup on Twitter stating that the suspension had nothing to do with the aforementioned Call Log / SMS permissions.
Hello, we are sorry for your experience. We have checked the status of your application and can confirm that your current violation has nothing to do with SMS / Call Call permissions. [1/2]

according to The email sent by Google Play to Titanium Backup, the application violates section 4.9 of the Google Play Developer Distribution Program, which reads as follows:
You will not engage in any activity with Google Play, including the provision of your products through Google Play, which disrupts, disrupts, damages, or unauthorized access to third party devices, servers, networks, or other properties or services. including, but not limited to, Google or any approved provider. You may not use user information obtained through Google Play to sell or distribute products outside of Google Play.
As to why exactly Titanium Backup has been suspended, we still have no concrete answer. The latest news, the developers have filed a petition with Google. Titanium Backup's Twitter account still responds to fan requests, but we'll update it as new information becomes available.
Titanium Backup is back on the Play Store. According to the Twitter message below, the application has been removed for various reasons, including the incorrect declaration of the use of certain permissions and the creation of links to root instructions.
Hello everyone, we are happy to announce that #Renfort in titanium is back on Play Store now!
