The Oregon Health Authority has identified a confirmed case of measles on Tuesday in Marion County.
The case is linked to a person with measles who recently crossed Marion County. This is not related to the ongoing epidemic in Clark County, in the state of Washington.
Health officials in Marion County are also investigating a suspected case of measles and waiting for lab tests.
These are the places and times when people may have been exposed to measles:
- Youth on Mission, 7085 Battle Creek Road SE, Salem, February 18 from 7 am to 11 March from 5 pm
- Get Air Trampoline Park, 3910 Rickey Street SE, Salem, February 21, from 1:45 pm to 5 pm
- Red Robin, 831 Lancaster Drive NE, Salem, February 21 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
- Portland International Airport: Southwest Airlines Registration Area and Hall C, February 22, 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Oregon public health officials are asking people to avoid going to a doctor's office immediately if they are not immunized, have been exposed and are experiencing measles symptoms.
Instead, they encourage people to contact a health care provider over the phone in advance to avoid exposing other people in the waiting rooms.
