Gal Gadot lands role in Tom Harper’s spy thriller Heart Of Stone for Netflix … after Wonder Woman: 1984 hit

Gal Gadot has been confirmed to star in the upcoming spy thriller Heart Of Stone, it was reported on Friday.

The upcoming feature film is slated to be directed by Wild Rose director Tom Harper, who has also worked on several episodes of the crime drama series Peaky Blinders.

The 35-year-old actress has signed an eight-figure deal to appear in the upcoming feature film, according to Deadline. She’s a hot property after the success of Wonder Woman: 1984.

Heart Of Stone was originally in development at Skydance Media before Netflix took over the project.

The screenplay is slated to be written by The Old Guard writer Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work on the 2016 landmark drama film Hidden Figures.

Gadot is set to produce the next feature film with her husband and business partner Yaron Varsano; together, the couple run the production company Pilot Wave.

On Thursday, many fans of the actress began to speculate that she was preparing to take on a new role when she posted a photo on her Instagram account showing her reading a script for a future project.

Gadot captioned the snap, “ Getting ready for the next big thing! Love the feeling before a new project – the excitement, the intrigue, the nerves … I can’t wait to get back on set.

She did not specify which project she was referring to, although Pilot Wave’s official Instagram account said, “ I can’t wait! ”

The Justice League actress has a number of film and television projects currently in development, including the upcoming Hedy Lamarr biographical mini-series, which she is expected to produce alongside her husband Yaron Varsano.

The show will follow the actress’s life from her early days in pre-war Europe until her eventual move to the United States, where she made many technical breakthroughs before becoming a recluse.

Gadot’s project was in production at Showtime without receiving a serial order; the series was eventually purchased by Apple, which lit the show for eight episodes; the actress will star in the miniseries as a historical figure.

The Keeping Up with the Joneses actress also worked on a separate WWII humanitarian-centric biopic Irena Sendler, which she will also produce and play.

The talented Israeli filmmaker is widely known for her role as Wonder Woman in various DC Extended Universe entries, most recently appearing in the Amazon in Wonder Woman 1984, released in December.

Gadot will also be seen in director Zack Snyder’s Justice League’s upcoming mini-series, which is slated for release in March.
