Hector 'H3CZ', long-time CEO of OpTic Gaming, has officially announced his departure from the organization in a joint statement with the new property group Immortals Gaming Club.
Rodriguez, who has run the organization since 2007, sold the majority stake to Infinite Esports & Entertainment in 2017, but after two difficult years, Infinite was acquired by Immortals in June 2019 with the OpTic brand.
H3CZ's position in the new organization was unclear at first, with information suggesting that he and Immortals CEO Ari Seagal had met to discuss a position for the outgoing president.

H3CZ has directed OpTic Gaming for almost all of its history.
In a joint statement of 15 September, Immortals and Rodriguez confirmed that such meetings had taken place. Even though they were "extended and friendly," H3CZ "refused the opportunity to stay in his current position at OpTic."
"I have a lot of respect for the Immortals organization," says H3CZ in a statement, "they've treated me fairly, as well as all OpTic players, during the this transition period. "

H3CZ has not revealed its plans for the future in esports, but the statement ends up confirming that "both parties are eagerly awaiting the new franchise league Call of Duty".
Given his contribution and dedication to CoD's activities, fans expect H3CZ to be part of the new league in some capacity, perhaps with another franchise.
Under the leadership of H3CZ, OpTic has become one of the most recognized brands in esport and entertainment in games, and new franchise organizations will likely find its skills invaluable.

What is the next step for OpTic?
The Call of Duty team is the last remnant of the organization, but the future of the 2019 season lineup is now uncertain as Crimsix has already announced its status as a restricted free agent.
The Immortals occupy one of the two LA franchise slots on behalf of OpTic for the upcoming Call of Duty franchise league, starting in 2020, but it is unclear whether players from the old group will be retained. The name and brand of the franchise have not been announced yet.
OpTic's CS: GO and Overwatch League (Outlaws from Houston) teams are expected to be sold, while League of Legends' LCS team will be renamed Immortals in 2020.
Reports suggest that an agreement was reached for the Houston Outlaws purchase by Houston real estate investor Lee Zebien, in the region of $ 40 million.
