Helicopter on the West Side of Manhattan

A helicopter fell short of its landing strip, located in West 30th Street, and collapsed in the Hudson River on Wednesday, confirmed the FDNY at Fox News.

This happened around 12th Ave and West 34th Street in New York and the authorities were summoned to the scene at 2:26 pm. The boat and FDNY ground were sent to the scene.

The pilot landed on the river, got out of the helicopter and came out of the water without being hurt. In addition, the helicopter was secured.

A patient is treated with minor injuries, but is now on the ground, although the police did not confirm whether the injured person was the pilot or another person on board the helicopter.

Authorities advise pedestrians to avoid the area.
