Henry Cejudo warns Urijah Faber after the call

Henry Cejudo reacted to Urijah Faber after the UFC Hall of Fame suggested fighting with the UFC bantamweight champion after his UFC victory over ESPN + 13 .

Faber (35-10 MMA, 11-6 UFC) returned to the Octagon after more than two years on Saturday and beat future hopeful Ricky Simon (15-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) by KO in 48 seconds barely. That was the perfect scenario for "The California Kid," who did the job in front of the hometown crowd at the Golden1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Cejudo (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) started talking about a confrontation by citing Faber as a possible opponent after the coup de grace of Marlon Moraes to claim the 135-pound belt in June. Faber fought back after his big win, and though it remains to be seen whether the UFC is interested in booking the fight, the champion certainly does his part to build it.

A few hours after the UFC on ESPN + 13, Cejudo got into social media and responded to Faber (via Twitter):

Pay attention to what you want for my maize princess. You could be the next legend to bend the knee to Triple C.

Cejudo's next bout is still not close to being booked after the UFC double-header has been operated on the shoulder last month. His schedule for a return is early 2020 or maybe December if all goes well.

After the fight, Faber said he would soon sit down with UFC officials to gauge his future after a triumphant return to retirement. At this point, everything indicates that a potential clash could ensue with Cejudo's participation in the discussion.
