Google I / O 2019 begins today and, before everything is implemented, Google announced the results of its fourth annual Google Play Awards.
The Google Play Awards allow Google to celebrate developers who have exceeded expectations. It showcases the best of the best on the Google Play Store and serves as an example to other developers of best practices to follow. It's also a list of apps to try if you want to know what makes them so special.
The awards cover nine categories, including new additions such as The Most Inventive, The Best Living Experience at the Show and The Most Beautiful Game.
This year's programming focuses on mental health with applications such as Woebot that offers tools for cognitive-behavioral therapy and Wisdo that lets you share your story or meet new people in groups ranging from from Body Positive to maternity, looking for the job of your dreams and much more.
It also includes apps for relaxing and having fun. For example, Neverthink helps you watch 100% human videos and if you want to play, you can discover a shooter like SHADOWGUN LEGENDS or Tick Tock: a tale of two for a mysterious world. Two player puzzle experience.
