Our first look at next year’s OnePlus 9 is here. Seeming to confirm last month’s news that the OnePlus 9 would arrive earlier than usual in March, the first leaked renders based on the first CADs are starting to land, featuring a familiar design, a slightly larger screen, a perforated front camera. . , and a three-camera setup on the back.

The renderings, courtesy of 91mobiles, don’t show too much angles or detail, but give us a clear picture of the front and back. Since they’re CAD-based, take materials and colors with a grain of salt, but the overall layout should be precise. On the front, you can see the hole-punch camera cutout in the upper left corner, identical to the old OnePlus 8T, in the same kind of “all screen” design. The OnePlus 9 also sports a larger 6.65 “screen according to this latest leak, just slightly larger than the 6.55” screen of the OnePlus 8T. Oddly, an earpiece isn’t visible in these renderings, but that detail may just be missing at this early date.

The power button and alert slider are close to their usual positions on the right side, with the volume buttons on the left. On the back, however, is a new tri-camera layout that looks like a cross between the iPhone and the Galaxy S20. All three cameras are aligned vertically, with two larger sensor / lens assemblies placed on top of a smaller one. The flash is set to the right in a setup that looks like the iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 camera layout. Notably, this is one less camera than some previous leaks shown, and one less than the 8T.

The phone’s specs, as published by 91mobiles, are rumored to disagree with themselves in a few places (like chipset and camera number), but the phone is said to include the upcoming Snapdragon 875. , a 120Hz screen and a 5000 mAh battery that would recharge at OnePlus’ new 65W charging speed.

Now that CAD is in the wild, expect that trickle of detail to turn into a howl over the weeks and months to come – first as the leaks multiply, and then later when the OnePlus’ fake viral marketing is booming ahead of an official launch.
