Curved glass and a bump that does not exceed as much
The distorted dimensions of the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max suggest that Apple's new-generation iPhones will be slightly thicker than current models. The reason is, apparently, the presence of much larger batteries, but the move should also give rise to a shock of the camera that does not exceed so much – it should be about 2 mm shorter.
The back panel of the iPhone 7 is also curved up around the camera
Three camera bumps … in the bump of the camera
By zooming in on the area, the glass that curves upward actually offers a slight lip around the camera's hump visualized in the iPhone's renders. Curiously, however, the curved part of the glass is not really colored. Hemmerstoffer says that the glass is transparent and that it simply captures the color of its environment.
Now let's go to the window inside the camera, as it was revealed yesterday, and its color will be the color of the back of the phone. This means that the Space Gray iPhone 11 will have a Space Gray lens, silver iPhones will use silver glass, and so on.
As shown in this area, you will find the triangular camera configuration, the four-LED flash, and the microphone. The last two are flat against the glass, but each individual camera protrudes slightly, creating three individual bumps in the camera. These, however, should not exceed the surrounding lip mentioned above.
As for the sensors themselves, they are surrounded by a black ring. Previous renderings have suggested that the ring matches the color of the glass, but this no longer seems to be the case.
Apple iPhone XI / XI Max Camera Specifications
Regarding current specifications, the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max are expected to be equipped with three 12 megapixel cameras at the rear. Like previous models, there should still be a main sensor associated with an alternative to telephoto zoom. These should then be accompanied by a new super wide-angle camera.
The software features are not yet known, but Apple probably already needs them to use the data from all three devices. After all, this is the only logical explanation of the triangular configuration of the camera. Regarding optical zoom improvements, it's not clear whether this will be done – existing iPhones support 2x zoom.
The camera configuration for iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max should be a new selfie camera. Since the iPhone 7, Apple devices are equipped with 7-megapixel sensors, but with new generation models, they should be replaced by a 12-megapixel camera.
