Dreams is an amazing game, and this project Metal Gear Solid shows its potential to remake the levels of play beyond Super Mario Bros. 1-1.

Dreams maestro Bearly Regal is working on redesigning the first section of Metal Gear Solid in the early-release version of Dreams, Media Molecule's exclusive game builder on PS4. Although they borrowed a Snake model while working alone, they created the other visual elements themselves, while some sound effects were outsourced from the Dreams community.

The video below perfectly illustrates the power of Dreams' game creation tools.

It already seems pretty authentic, but it's still a work in progress. Since the dreams did not come into effect until April 16th, early access paid off.

This is not the first time we see some of a game recreated in Dreams. In January, during the beta period, someone reconstructed part of Dead Space in Dreams (unfortunately, the film was dumped as it was, at the time, breaking a NES).

In the meantime, if you fancy new remakes of Metal Gear, here is the intro redone in Unreal Engine 4.

Hopefully we'll see more fun fan projects like this one. Personally, I expect a remake of MGS 3, if only to be able to use a kind of play "I'm still in a Dreams, Snake Eater".
