Remedy Entertainment first announced the release of a remastered version of their beloved story-driven horror title a few days ago. It shows Wake writing a warning not to go out in the dark and stay in the light, waking up in a nightmare and looking for his wife in a town where strange things are happening … as if the locals are possessed by something supernatural.

The PS5 version of the game runs in 4K at 60 fps. On the PS 4 Pro, it can run in one of two modes: Performance at 60 fps or Quality at 30 fps 4K. Meanwhile, the PS4 version is capped at 30 frames per second. Each weapon in the game has different feedback for the DualSense controller’s adaptive trigger, and there are activity cards for each episode and mission.

In his PlayStation blog post, Remedy Creative Director Sam Lake said the team has touched up a ton of individual elements and not just the cutscenes and the bigger things you can see in the environment. . They reworked the props, textures, sound effects files, and UI art for the game.

The remastered version of Alan wake includes the base game and The Signal and The Writer, which were expansions originally released as DLC. This is the first time it will be released on PlayStation, although it is also arriving on the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X / S, and Xbox One.
