Here's a glimpse of who's going to the White House and who's not

The Boston Red Sox, World Series 2018 champions, are expected to be honored at the White House on Thursday. But not all members of the team make the trip.

Manager Alex Cora confirmed on Sunday that he would not be attending, joining several top players including Mookie Betts, David Price and Xander Bogaerts. Red Sox owner John Henry, who also owns the Globe, plans to attend, as does Tom Werner.

"It's about giving players that opportunity they deserved. We went under two republican administrations and under [former president] Obama, and now we go under Trump. Not going there would have been an important political statement, "said Red Sox general manager Sam Kennedy to Adrian Walker.
