Here's all in the massive Anthem Day One patch, with instant patches

AnthemBioWare

It was a …strange liberation window for Anthem, in which the game was released last week for a handful of paid PC Premiere players, while Xbox players have a 10-hour trial and PS4 players have nothing until the "real" launch on the 22 February.

This staggered launch has, however, caused many problems, as everyone is currently playing the game without the substantial update of the "one-day" patch that will be available on the 22nd, although, knowing that it's literally a game, you can buy and play that way. On some platforms, it's hard to believe that you should not be able to issue an opinion, whether it's the day or any of the updates.

Last night, EA PR sent a long list of release notes on the first day's patch to the press reviewing the game. You do not send this kind of thing to dozens of journalists without any mention of an embargo and you do not expect it do not to be posted, and by the time the request has been made, the patch notes were already on reddit and BioWare actively responds to the questions asked. The cat came out of the bag, although I do not understand why the cat should be in the bag in the first place. I guess some of these elements are subject to change.

In addition to the important patch of the first day, BioWare has moved quickly to the correction of two other problems for the moment. The first was to kill a feat that allowed players to easily cultivate material at the end of the game. The second is a nerve of the infamous "Tombs" quest, where it now begins to track your progress towards this quest when you reach level 3. This means that when you finally have to finish it, you should be much, much further . only if you start at level 10-12 as players do this week.

But as for the patch of the first day? Here is the massive list of notes below. My comment for the articles I find interesting (is in parentheses).

Details of the update of the first day

High level corrections

  • Improved charging times (By far, this is the biggest complaint about the game at the moment, and some people have realized that loading screens before, during and after the missions was actually longer than the gameplay of the game. these missions in some cases. But how much reduction there will be here is not clear)
  • Fixed many infinite loading screens (it had to be corrected already, but I had the 95% loading bug a few times on Xbox One this week)
  • Fixed several issues that did not follow correctly
  • A number of issues that caused the disconnection or blocking of players have been resolved.
  • Weapons and gear now have numbers for modifiers

General fixes and improvements

  • Booty discovery and shipping summary are now correctly read in the end of shipment screen.
  • The assembly party mechanic was made lenient in a number of situations (this should hopefully reduce the message "Zone out of Mission" that appears ALL the time during missions. No word on whether loading into missions at different times, the missing dialogue will be corrected)
  • At the end of the expedition, players will no longer be blocked "Record Victory" or "Jump All".
  • The game no longer hangs in the Javelin menu when unlocking the second, third or fourth javelin
  • During the "What Freelancers Do" mission dies after killing Junkmaw & unleashing arcanists no longer allows you to progress, this problem has been fixed
  • Challenges are now unlocked for players at the appropriate levels (it may have something to do with the Tomb fix, or maybe something else)
  • Fixed some camera issues during cutscenes
  • Legendary Contracts Can Now Be Accepted From Social Hub Contract
  • The shield value of some enemies has been reduced (some elite and legendary enemies have ridiculously high shield values, so this is an underestimated change that I'm happy to see.)
  • The loot now falls correctly for the players who are slaughtered (it corrects the glaring problem where you could spend 20 minutes killing a Titan, but if you were down when he died, you will get nothing)
  • The quality of the texture on the Prospero NPC has been improved (to fix his crossed eyes?)
  • The last boss of the fortresses now leaves the loot instead of being displayed only at the end of the shipping screen (it's a very good change, I'm surprised they came out so fast)
  • Fixed dead times on echoes and relics to avoid problems and properly manage disconnections (it was a huge problem in the demo where I would disconnect by echoing and that would destroy progress for the entire mission unless everyone drowns and drowns to reinitialize)
  • Players can no longer fall through the ground during the 3rd try in the dawn fortress
  • Finish the expedition of the tutorial will now show the good appearance of the Rangers
  • After the disconnect, join an expedition will bring you back into a team if you were in a previous
  • Fixed a problem preventing players from interacting in the launch pad in certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a problem during the "Bad Deal" mission where outlaws do not reoccur, blocking progression
  • The shipping start screen has been improved (curious to see what that means, exactly)
  • Resolving various situations in which killing enemies does not advance world events.
  • The opening of a safe now increases the Legion's progress for all team members present (this now makes the quest for the tomb feasible with a group. In my opinion, with all these changes, the quest for the tomb will no longer be a problem for the future)
  • Snipers can no longer shoot through Storm Shield
  • Fixed a problem that was blocking players at the end of the shipping screen in some situations (that happened to me a good amount)
  • Players will no longer be disconnected when they join the group. "Find old friends" mission while cinematic is playing (I think that a ton of people missed some important cutscenes in this mission because of that)
  • Resolution of a number of situations in which players may remain stuck on the environment in the launch pad
  • Increased damage from the electrical state effect
  • Fixed a problem where the dawn shield could be made with fewer materials than expected in certain situations
  • The feat of the platinum mission now allows to finish as planned
  • Status effects can be applied more reliably to Titans

AnthemBioWare

Fortresses

  • Fixed an issue that caused Stronghold server crash after the last boss's defeat
  • Temple of Scar – Players can no longer get stuck in the mined tunnel of the Explosives Room
  • Temple of Scar – A wall of fog can no longer prevent players from entering the explosives room
  • Fix the Tyrant Mine so that people who join the current fortress do not stay locked away from their team
  • Adjusted lighting in the underwater section of the Tyrant mine to facilitate navigation to the exit (I memorized this card at this point where I know exactly where to go anyway, but it's good)
  • The Tyrant Swarm will no longer get stuck in the side entrances of the cave in certain situations
  • Fixed an issue where players appeared in different areas of the Tyrant Mine in certain situations

Equipment and weapons

  • After the first driver unlocks the sequel after the tutorials, create a new driver and go to the forge no longer causes the blocking of the loading screen
  • Ice damage bonuses are now correctly applied to ice gear (no word on how the game becomes buggy when you are frozen)
  • Registration bonuses from the entire costume now work properly
  • Players can no longer retrieve the equipped items (they really need a locking system in general)
  • Javelin-specific weapons and / or weapons can no longer be used on javelins for which they are not intended (wait for it was a thing?)
  • Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, the Masterwork components do not have any registration.
  • The Automatic Masterwork Automatic Endless Transmission displays no more 0% damage increase in its tooltip.

& nbsp; Javelins

  • The Colossus javelin can now activate his shield faster after using an ability or firing with a weapon.
  • The javelin of the storm reacts now when his shields are raised.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed the Storm's ultimate attack to be used more times than expected (I believe it was part of a kind of infinite farming feat.)
  • The Colossus javelin can now protect and revive at once (convenient)
  • Interceptor Combo Aura has been increased in power and now has a damage component over time (always trying to understand exactly what the combo will do)

Homemade

  • Non-Masterwork materials purchased at the craft store now display their appropriate rarity instead of being incorrectly displayed as Masterwork.

Controls

  • Additional improvements to mouse and keyboard control have been made

IU

  • Some conversations did not show reputation points after the end of the conversation, this issue has been resolved
  • The team screen now displays the correct information for each player.
  • Fixed a number of issues preventing captions from getting stuck on the screen after the dialogue ended
  • Settings should not be reset when you exit and restart the game on Xbox One
  • Motion blur can now be disabled properly
  • The electrical status effect now correctly shows the damage
  • An option has been added to hide the HUD from the group members.
  • The edge of the compass flashes to indicate the position of the enemy (it is useful because it is often difficult to know where we just shot you.)
  • A notification has been added to Fort Tarsis if a player's safe is up to 250 items.
  • On the "Repair the strider" step of "A call for help" the search radar has been adjusted to properly drive the player to the 4 tools
  • Primer and detonator icons have been added to all Interceptor gear (they really need an initiation and detonator tutorial because 80% of players will miss this whole system)
  • Fixed a UI problem in which the ultimate value of a player was indicated as available when it was unavailable.

AnthemBioWare

After seeing all this, it's easy to feel like you're playing Anthem Last week, you were less a VIP player than an early tester. Most PC Origin Premiere users have already beaten the entire reporting campaign, without any of these fixes, and many of them have already cemented their opinions. I will give the first game a chance before making a final verdict, but I would not blame those who paid for the game and beat it last week to have it reviewed on the basis of their own experience. If your game is out, he's out. And clearly scaled versions are a bad idea for about 200 reasons listed above.

Anthem"Not all problems are problems that can be solved with bug removal, because much of the game's criticism stems from broader problems regarding structure, loot, and essential aspects of the game." that will take longer to change if BioWare listens to the returns there. It's a little tiring to see another pitcher getting into a "good frame, but there's still a lot of work to be done," but it's kind of the same for this kind of movie, and Anthem will probably be no exception .

I have fun, although I would not have had more fun last week and I had access to full game console on launch day with all these fixes already in place.
