Tonight, Boston Pride will face a must-see match with the Buffalo Beauts at 8:30 p.m. in the deciding game of a currently tied 1-1 series. The winner will become the fourth favorite in the NWHL Isobel Cup semi-final.

After abandoning the opener on Saturday, Pride rallied to claim a 6-0 victory on Sunday.

Patriots’ offer for Matthew Stafford: As the Patriots head into an offseason in which quarterback questions crop up again, one possibility was a trade for Matthew Stafford.

The old choice # 1 has been made available after Detroit hired a new general manager and head coach in January.

Speculation then began whether the Patriots would make an offer for the 32-year-old.

The race to trade to Stafford was reportedly over on Saturday when the Lions and Rams struck a deal.

As to whether the Patriots made an offer for Stafford, NFL insider Albert Breer reported that Bill Belichick made an offer to Detroit, although it was not enough.

“The Patriots and the Bears both checked in,” Breer wrote in his weekly Illustrated sports column. “New England was ready to host a second round with a player to get Stafford, which when added to the Patriots’ absence on a list of favorite destinations (which my pal Tom Curran reported Sunday) quickly eliminated Bill Belichick & Co. from the hunt.
