Here’s what’s going on with Chicago’s huge Pokemon Go Fest 2021 egg

A mysterious egg installation was erected in Maggie Daley Park in Chicago this week, leading many to speculate on what it could be. Turns out it’s part of an extra special Pokemon Go Fest 2021 for Windy City.

The Egg will be part of a Legendary Night Raid Egg Event in the Park that runs from 9:00 PM to 10:45 PM. Daley Park is teaming up to catch some of the rarest Pokémon live, screened on a Pokémon egg 15 meters high.

In addition, the Chicago event will be the most important. Niantic will have street teams that will give freebies to downtown players. There will also be special photo ops at Navy Pier and Ogden Plaza. Niantic said brand ambassadors will hand out bracelets to the first 1,000 people at Maggie Daley Park on Saturday. Participation is limited in order to provide a space for social distancing to all participants.

As someone who goes to the Pokemon Go Fest 2021 San Francisco City Activation, I’m a little jealous of our friends in Chicago. Niantic will have their own photo ops along the Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach and Union Square. Chicago gets special treatment due to its relationship with Niantic, hosting the latest Pokemon Go Fests in the United States
