As of March 15, no PS5 consoles are available for purchase at regular retail stores. If you’re willing to spend cash like water, you can get a PS5 or PS5 pack from a reseller like eBay or StockX – but we advise you to wait. In a few more months, we expect inventory levels to increase, and then you might regret spending $ 1,000 or more to get a PS5 sooner.
You can monitor yourself where the PS5 is available; Twitter, for example, is a good source of restocking rumors. But sometimes we receive information directly from retailers and informants about upcoming restockings, and we update this article immediately. Again, be aware that it will likely be months before anything near normal inventory levels spawns in stores, so getting your own PS5 will likely be a challenge until the summer, at the earliest. We don’t recommend spending more than retail to get a PS5, but if you must have a console now, eBay is your shortcut to getting a console. With that said, expect to pay hundreds of dollars on the list; the average price of the PS5 on eBay is around $ 800.
If you’ve exhausted all the usual retail options and are willing to pay hundreds more than the list price, you might want to check out StockX, an eBay alternative that made its name in the aftermarket sneaker. and designer clothes.
