Heroes Reborn trailer features a Marvel universe without the Avengers

The official Heroes Reborn # 1 trailer features a world where the Avengers were never born, and Squadron Supreme takes their place.

Marvel has released a new trailer for its upcoming Hero Reborn Event.

The trailer features “A World Without The Avengers” after a mysterious event leads to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes never coming together and the Supreme Squadron taking their place. Glimpses of other characters are shown, including Gwen Stacy as Nightbird and an all-new Ronin, as well as villains such as the Silver Witch and the Black Skull. The trailer ends with a tease that the Supreme Squadron will face the “Mightiest Villains on Earth” – who happen to be the Avengers themselves.

Although Hero Reborn Sharing its name with a controversial ’90s screenplay, writer Jason Aaron has confirmed that aside from the name and one other key element, this upcoming series is a whole different thing. “This story really has nothing to do with the original Heroes Reborn event,” he told ComicBook.com. “The only similarity is that this is a look at another version of the Marvel Universe, familiar in some ways, but profoundly and fundamentally altered in others. I’m pretty confident saying it’s a world unlike any version of Marvel U we’ve ever seen before. “

Hero Reborn revolves around the events of Aaron Avengers run, and the reteam with artist Ed McGuiness. In addition to the main series, several one-shots will reinvent the roles of Marvel’s heroes in this new universe.
