Josh Heupel, a Heisman Trophy finalist while playing for Oklahoma in 2000, and former North Carolina star Julius Peppers are among the 12 players making their first appearance at the University Football Hall of Fame this year.

For coaches to be eligible for induction, they must have been coaching for at least 10 years and at least 100 games with a winning percentage of .67. Darryl Rogers, who has coached in the states of Fresno, San Jose, Michigan and Arizona for 20 years, is one of five coaches on the ballot this year.
