Hewlett Packard Enterprise moves headquarters from California to Houston

HOUSTON – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that Hewlett Packard Enterprise is moving its headquarters from San Jose, Calif., To Spring, Texas.

The head office will be located on a new campus which will open in early 2022.

HPE is already established across Texas, with sites in Austin, Plano and Houston. The tech company employed more than 2,600 Texans. According to a statement, HPE operates major product development, service, manufacturing and laboratory sites in Houston and Austin.

“We are delighted that Hewlett Packard Enterprise has chosen to live in Texas, and I thank them for expanding their investment in the Lone Star State by moving their headquarters to the Houston area,” Abbott said in a written statement. “Hewlett Packard Enterprise joins more than 50 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the Lone Star State, including 22 in the Houston area alone. This is because Texas has the best business climate in the country. Our low taxes, high quality of life, top-notch workforce, and top-tier universities create an environment in which innovative companies like HPE can thrive.
