At Tribeca 2019, Hideo Kojima talked a bit about his upcoming title, Death Stranding. What's really interesting, at least for PC fans, is that Kojima did not deny a future PC version for his highly anticipated game.
When asked if there were still plans for a PC release, Hideo Kojima dodged the issue and he did not deny a future release for PC. At the same time, Kojima has also not confirmed the release of a PC, so it is not 100% sure whether we will see this game on a PC. We know that Kojima wanted the release of this game on PS4 and PC, but Sony can interfere and make a "real"(And not timed) exclusive game on Playstation devices.
Q: Is there still a PC version?
A: I did not really answer# Tribeca2019– Michelle Jaworski (@michejaw) April 25, 2019
As we all know, developers usually avoid such questions when they can not talk about their future projects. After all, the same thing happened with Metal Gear Solid V: Ghost Pain; a game that is sold well on the PC platform. As such, I'm pretty sure Kojima could very well dispel rumors about personal computers if his team did not plan to broadcast them on our platform.
Our hypothesis is that Death Stranding will come on the PC a year after its release on console (know that we are only guessing here). The game is currently planned for PS4, but I'm almost certain that Kojima Productions will also carry it on PS5. That the PC version is planned for publication after the PS5 version remains a mystery.
The good news is that Kojima did not refuse the release of a future PC version, so hopefully Death Stranding will be released on our platform someday!
