The actor said in an Instagram story yesterday that she tested positive for the virus. “This Delta … she’s a little bitch.”

She wrote that her symptoms included a “bad headache, no taste or smell, sinus pressure and brain fog.” However, she added that she was “happy to be vaxxed”.

Hilary runs Hulu’s How i met your father, which is a spinoff from the popular mid-2000s sitcom how I Met Your Mother, as a producer and star.

The series has just started production, with Hilary sharing the first behind-the-scenes casting photo three days ago. There is currently no news on the impact of Hilary’s diagnosis on the series’ filming schedule.

In a video post on Instagram, Melissa wrote: “I got vaccinated and caught COVID, and it’s bad. It weighs on my chest, it’s hard to breathe.” While the actor said she and her family “tried and took precautions,” she admitted they were “a little lazy” once the restrictions were lifted.

She also urged schools to introduce mandatory masking, an issue that was debated across the country at the start of the school year. “I’m really angry that my kids don’t have to wear masks at school. Because I’m pretty sure that’s where it comes from.”

Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected, although they only occur in a small percentage of people vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In addition, vaccines are “an essential tool in controlling the pandemic” and effective in preventing the most serious illnesses and hospitalizations.

The Delta strain is currently the main variant in the United States, and daily cases are now at higher levels than in any previous wave, with the exception of last winter. The CDC recommends universal interior masking in schools and in areas of “high or high transmission” regardless of vaccination status.
