Popular rapper Megan Thee Stallion, also known as Hot Girl Meg, released a video on Tuesday titled “Bitcoin for Hotties” in collaboration with Cash App, a mobile payment service developed by Jack Dorsey’s Square Inc.

Megan Thee Stallion has over 24.1 million Instagram followers and 6.4 million Twitter followers. She has received several accolades, including three Grammy Awards. At the 63rd Grammy Awards, she became the second female hip-hop artist to win the Best New Artist award. In 2020, Time Magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world on its annual list.

Her Bitcoin for Hotties video begins with the star explaining what bitcoin is. She said:

Bitcoin is a new kind of money. While the money in your wallet is issued and regulated by governments, bitcoin is cryptocurrency like a wild stallion. It cannot be controlled by anyone.

“This means that no person or organization can decide how much is used, how much is in circulation or its value, so boom. There is only a limited amount of bitcoins, like gold, silver or me, ”she continued.

The video then went on to explain why bitcoin is valuable, with an emphasis on scarcity and security. After explaining that the price of bitcoin can fluctuate, she explained how to get bitcoin, for example from cryptocurrency exchanges or via Cash App.

The Bitcoin for Hotties video is the second financial education video released as part of the artist’s partnership with Cash App. The first video, titled “Investing for Hotties”, was about investing in the stock market. It came out a month ago.

In December of last year, Megan Thee Stallion announced a $ 1 million bitcoin giveaway in collaboration with Cash App. Last month, they teamed up to donate a million dollars in stock around the release of his single “Thot Sh * t”.
