Hitman 3 has only been out for a few weeks, but it looks like IO Interactive isn’t done with its World of Assassination trilogy just yet. According to executive producer Forest Swartout Large, in an interview with The Gamer, Hitman 3 will probably receive new assignments in the future.
Large says the IO team is always looking to the future, and in this case, that means more missions for Hitman 3. But, at the moment, it doesn’t look like that means more locations. Instead, it looks big, and the team is focusing more on the elusive missions or escalation missions, and maybe even a few twists on classic levels from the recent game trilogy.
“We’re definitely going to do DLC, but we haven’t defined what it is,” says Large. “I think right now we’re not looking for new cards like bank and island.”
By mentioning the bank and the island, Large evokes two of the Hitman 2the best levels, and while it looks like we won’t be getting any new locations in Hitman 3, we might get new versions of old maps and missions.
“We’re more into using existing locations and reinventing them, tweaking them. And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy, ”Large says. “We can look back Hitman 2016 Cards, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations. ”
Of course, new content for Hitman 3 isn’t the only thing IO Interactive is working on right now. Last year, the studio announced that it was also working on a James Bond game, which seems like a perfect fit for the studio, although we don’t have details on that game yet.
