HMD’s Nokia 6.2 successor leaks with side-mounted fingerprint sensor

Renderings of what is believed to be the Nokia 6.3 or 6.4 have leaked online, giving us our best look yet at HMD Global’s next affordable handset. The renderings come to us via Steve Hemmerstoffer on Voice. New to this model is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor built into the power button, which replaces the rear-mounted sensor of the 2019 Nokia 6.2.

Beyond that, there isn’t much that separates the Nokia 6.3 / 6.4 from the 6.2, which currently costs $ 249 on Amazon. It still has a screen with a small teardrop notch, a headphone jack, and a circular camera array on the back. However, Hemmerstoffer reports that the screen could be larger at 6.45 inches rather than 6.3 inches, and that it has four cameras on the back, down from three last time. GSMArena note that the fourth sensor is probably intended for macro shots.

Otherwise, it’s a very similar phone to its predecessor.

There is no indication of how much the phone is likely to cost in this latest leak, but GSMArena reports that the price was € 249 (around $ 306). Hemmerstoffer notes that we should see an announcement before April.
