Levin was moving out when he disappeared last week, reported KTVL, an affiliate of CNN. Levin's son in Los Angeles informed the authorities of his disappearance last Monday.
Authorities sought Levin last week, police said Sunday at Grants Pass, located about 200 km south of Salem.

On Friday, an emergency phone call led authorities to search a remote area northeast of Selma, the Grants Pass Public Security Ministry said. But there was no sign of Levin.

A resident found Levin's car on Saturday on a remote, almost impassable road. The disabled vehicle was off the road, the police said.

Levin's pug, Boo Bear, was found in the vehicle. Levin's body was located near the car, police said.

"Given the circumstances, it is likely that the remains are those of Charles Levin," said the police.

The medical examiner will make the final identification of the remains, the police said.

Levin appeared in an episode of "Seinfeld" in 1993, according to his IMDb page.
He has also appeared on shows such as "Alice", "NYPD Blue" and "Hill Street Blues", according to IMDb.

Levin also had roles in movies, such as "The Golden Child".
