The Wet Bandits are being kicked out of a property by young Kevin McCallister again this holiday season … because someone has gone to extreme lengths to bring “ Home Alone ” to life in its own cradle … almost literally.
The house in question is adorned with perhaps the most epic Christmas decorating setup of all time … with this owner going out of his way to recreate some of the most iconic scenes and snapshots from Macaulay Culkinclassic comedy from 1990.
They even have life-size minifigures of the three main characters – little Kevin on the roof with his memorable painting can trap the crazy … while Marv and Harry try to escape from the porch below. Not exactly how things turned out in the movie, but close enough.
If you remember correctly, Kevin actually throws paint cans from inside Chicago’s sprawling McCallister mansion, tossing them over the banister and hitting each crook in the head to send them back to the first one. history.
There is more decor from the movie all over the house – including the Michael jordan cutout of cardboard Kevin was using to trick the bandits into thinking someone was home … plus the front page of the diary showing Marv and Harry escaped from prison. Whoever shot that also had the good sense to throw Brenda Lee“Rockin ‘Around the Christmas Tree” as the background music … an important song featured in “Home Alone”.
Oh, and who could forget the classic fake film noir line that Kevin used to scare people of – like an unwitting pizza delivery boy – also … “Angels with Filthy Souls,” which had the best tagline ever. the temperature?!? It makes an appearance here too, in the spirit (and signage).
Merry Christmas, dirty animal !!! Ah … it never gets old.
