The PAX West Gearbox panel has announced Homeworld 3, but it's not the only return from the real-time strategy franchise. The company also teased Homeworld Mobile, with a brief teaser-trailer showing the spacecraft in flight.
The spin-off is developed by the mobile studio Straosphere. Gearbox noted that the title was not finalized because, like Homeworld 3, it was still in its infancy. If you support Homeworld 3's crowdfunding campaign on Fig, you'll have priority access to Homeworld Mobile.
Homeworld has been relatively quiet since the release of Homeworld 2 in 2003. It received a critically acclaimed Remastered collection in 2015, including Homeworld Remastered's Gamewot magazine.
