Reuters reported that Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir will visit China , officials from both countries discuss related issues.
The report said Mahathir's visit to China is scheduled for mid-August and that the two sides have not yet confirmed the date of the visit, but Mahathir is eager to visit China.
Mahathir recently instructed the finance ministry to suspend three projects commissioned by former prime minister Najib, which were built by China-funded companies, including the $ 20 billion East Coast Railway Plan and two billion of dollars. The US dollar Mahathir gas pipeline project once said that Najib's plan to create a board of directors is not in the national interest.
It is reported that the Malaysian authorities are investigating whether the Najib government used the funds for the construction of pipeline projects to repay the arrears of the development fund that is in financial difficulties.
