In 1984, the Sino-British drafting of the "Joint Statement" laid the foundation for Hong Kong's future. In the same year, Lin Xing, the founder of the "Newsletter", publishes a book entitled "Imagination and Facts of Future Problems of Hong Kong", which includes his brief review of political and economic issues from 1975 to September 1984. His daughter Lin Zaishan translated the work into an earlier English version. When she attended the Friday Book Fair, she said the new book will help readers of the English-speaking world understand the embarrbadment of the Hong Kong people facing the future problems of the colonial era.
